Josh Hoggett

Josh Hoggett

Solicitor

Josh joined Stevens & Associates as our Paralegal in May 2016, and worked part-time whilst he completed a combined degree in Laws and Commerce at the University of New South Wales. Josh has now completed his studies and works full time as a Solicitor.

Since joining the firm, Josh has developed a keen interest in employment law matters and regularly meets with clients, conducts legal research and drafts legal documentation for the firm, navigating relevant legislation and common law to assist with our client’s matters both in and outside of litigation.

In his capacity as a Solicitor, Josh has experience advising employers and senior executives on contentious and non-contentious matters. Josh has assisted the firm in the following matters: restraint of trade, defence of investigation, employment contracts and policies, whistleblowing, performance management, redundancies, discrimination, sexual harassment, unfair dismissal, general protections, and enterprise bargaining.

Josh has a particular interest in issues relating to the underpayment of wages and entitlements and the increasingly relevant issue of accessorial liability.

"Thank you for all your wonderful advice and help during this time. Everything went well & you were spot on about the offer."
