Josh Hoggett

Josh is an experienced employment law solicitor known for delivering practical, strategic, and dependable advice to his clients.

Since joining Stevens & Associates Lawyers, Josh has developed expertise across a broad range of employment law matters and has a particular interest in resolving complex workplace issues in a commercial and pragmatic manner.

As a Senior Solicitor, Josh regularly advises employers and senior executives on both contentious and non-contentious matters. His experience spans areas including post-employment restraints, workplace investigations, employment contracts and policies, performance management, redundancy processes, discrimination, sexual harassment, unfair dismissal, general protections, and enterprise bargaining.

Josh has carriage of and predominantly appears before the Fair Work Commission, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, and the Federal Court of Australia, successfully representing clients in a variety of employment disputes. He has also appeared in matters before the Supreme Court of New South Wales, predominantly relating to restraint of trade issues and led by Counsel.

Josh works closely with employers to manage risk, minimise disruption, and resolve disputes efficiently. He is known for providing clear, commercially sound advice that is mindful of operational requirements and broader business objectives, with a focus on achieving outcomes that allow organisations to move forward with confidence. 

Josh has a particular interest in workplace investigations, post-employment restraints, sexual harrassment/sex-based discrimination, and the evolving area of accessorial liability.
