Ayla Hutchison

Ayla Hutchison

Solicitor

Ayla joined Stevens and Associates as a Solicitor in 2024.

Originally from New Zealand, Ayla obtained admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2021 where she primarily acted on a range of property transactions, estate planning and trust related matters for high-net-worth individuals.

Ayla was later admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2023 following her endlessly rewarding decision to jump across the ditch.  Prior to joining Stevens and Associates, she acted on interstate property transactions and employment law matters within the property and commercial teams at an award-winning firm based in Sydney.

Ayla’s decision to specialise in employment law reflects her passion for assisting clients within this area of life, especially with contentious matters. She has a particular interest in unfair dismissal and redundancy issues.

Ayla holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from Victoria University of Wellington.

While studying, Ayla also enjoyed her time as an Employment Law Clerk, Human Resources Intern, Industrial Relations Tutor, HRNZ Committee Member and Advocacy Volunteer for the Wellington Community Justice Project.

We welcome Ayla’s enthusiastic “can-do” Kiwi attitude to our team.
