Jane joined Stevens & Associates Lawyers in 2015, having previous experience in the community legal sector providing advice to people with disabilities in employment matters. In this role, Jane gained extensive experience preparing for, and assisting in, unfair and unlawful dismissal matters and general protections applications. In 2014, Jane completed a legal internship at the Australian Law Reform Commission – a role which saw her hone research and statutory interpretation skills.
Whilst at Stevens & Associates Lawyers, Jane has acted for both employees and employers and has appeared in the Fair Work Commission, the Supreme Court of NSW, and the Federal Court of Australia.
In addition to her interests and expertise in employment matters relating to disability, Jane is particularly interested in workplace drug, alcohol and social media policies, the interpretation of employment contracts, restraints of trade, workplace investigations, and enterprise agreements.
As a result of Jane’s combined experiences, she has an appreciation for the importance of a client-tailored approach to legal practice, and is committed to providing advice which is pragmatic, preventive, and risk sensitive. Jane is an active member of:

- Industrial Relations Society of NSW
